She told US magazine, "Before, I would just go through the motions."I was always seeking, and it was always about work."It was always about: 'I'll be happy when this happens or when that happens’.” She added, “ I've learned so much!"Like, really, truly living in the moment and enjoying each day and really taking in simple things… "To spend time with people you love – no matter what it is you're doing – whether I'm finger-painting with my daughter at home or going to the grocery store.”

Jessica Alba bans her daughter Honor Marie from watching The Killer Inside Me. The actress has admitted she doesn’t want her two-year-old child to watch the thriller, in which she plays a prostitute brutally beaten to death by Casey Affleck's town sheriff Lou Ford. "I don't think it's appropriate for her to ever see this movie even when she is an adult. It's just not meant for her to see," Alba told the press. She added, "I knew that I wasn't always going to be making movies that she should see. It's part of my own expression as an artist. This is where I went at this time, I was being true to myself in that moment. I hope my daughter is making choices that are connected and authentic in whatever she pursues in her life.".

Jessica Alba has prevented a Chinese woman from undergoing a cosmetic surgery to look like her. Xiaoqing, 21, was determined to go under the knife to get the actress’ looks in order to win back an ex-boyfriend, who is a huge fan of Alba. When the 29-year-old herd about the news from Shangain doctors, she told Xiaoqing, "I think you should never have to change yourself like that. If somebody loves you, they'll love you no matter what." Xiaoqing responded to Alba saying: "I think it's great that Jessica is so concerned about me. Her words also played an important role in my decision."
